Black Ops: Tomahawk Tips Black Ops: Tomahawk Tips

Now Tomahawk can be a tricky weapon, you have to have the right timing and know were to aim (its not as simple as aiming with a gun) When using a Tomahawk you have to remember that the Tomahawk will actually fall as it is going away from you, so for long range shots i find it is best to line up the middle dot on the enemy, then move your aim about half way between were the gun is and the top of the screen, like shown below. Tomhawk does seem to be easier then using a throwing knife from modern warfare 2 because it seems to have less drop when thrown and is slightly faster.

When aiming at someone who is in close range to you you need to make sure to aim directly at them if they are not moving, but if they are walking, aim slightly ahead of the direction they are going, if they are running aim a bit more. Obviously you will have to compensate depending on how far away they are. If you run into someone and your to far to knife them just throw the knife at there chest and hope they don't dodge to the side. Honest i have to say the best way to get good is just to practice and get a feel for it. No matter what anyone tells you about it you will just have to experience it yourself to be good with it.

Tomahawk Class

I suggest using either a Sub Machine gun like the Scorpion or the ak74 because it makes you run fairly fast and it can take down close / far targets. As for a secondary i suggest using either a scilenced pistol, or a ballistic knife. Basiclly something that can be equiped quickly when your un out of bullets

  • Scavenger Pro - It allows you to get tomahawks from picking up a scavenger pack instead of the tomahawk itself
  • Slight of Hand Pro - It really does not effect your tomahawking, but this is my personal favorite as in speeds up your aiming / reloading.
  • Ninja Pro or Marathon Pro - Either one is fine, ninja pro allows you to not be heard, but marathon pro allows you to constantly run.
